Magnetic particles SileksMagIMCombo-Amino can be used for covalent bonding of proteins, antibodies, enzymes and other biological molecules.
Particles can be used for immobilization in two alternative ways:
• direct immobilization without preliminary surface preparation (recommend)
• covalent immobilization using amino group

Magnetic particles for alternative immobilization are supplied as an aqueous suspension ready for use. The use of particles is also possible in automatic separation systems.
The polymer surface of the particles has functional groups, which provide strong interaction with an immobilized molecule without preliminary preparation of the surface. By the strength of binding, direct immobilization on this surface is comparable to covalent binding. It must be remembered that, non-covalent immobilization on the surface will differ from the covalent binding using amino groups due to the different orientation of the molecule due to its functional groups. In most cases, direct immobilization can be more optimal than strong covalent binding.
The main advantage of these particles is the choice of the immobilization method while maintaining the properties of immobilized macromolecules.
We recommend using these particles to immobilize antibodies, antigens, specific proteins, enzymes, other biological molecules.
