SileksMagNA, silica covered magnetic particles, 10 mL
SileksMagNA are universal particles for the isolation of all types of nucleic acids (NAs). These particles bind well small and single-stranded NAs, for example, viral DNA and RNA, mRNA, partially degraded DNA, etc.
The magnetic particles coated with silica - Sileks MagNA and Sileks MagNA-G - are designed for isolation of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and is supplied as an aqueous suspension in ready to use form.

SileksMagNA are universal particles for the isolation of all types of nucleic acids (NAs). These particles bind well small and single-stranded NAs, for example, viral DNA and RNA, mRNA, partially degraded DNA, etc.
Magnetic particles with a synthesized silicate coating have an increased capacity for binding NAs in comparison with sorbents based on silicon oxide (silica, diatomaceous earth, etc.) and also in comparison with particles of other manufacturers. By using less sorbent, you can get more nucleic acid.
The main advantages of the proposed magnetic particles in comparison with non-magnetic sorbents based on SiO2:
• the ability to isolate NAs from samples in field laboratories where there are no conditions for the use of current-consuming devices (centrifuges, shakers, etc.)
• no centrifugation to precipitate the sample, it leads to minimal damage to the isolated NAs
• higher specific capacity for binding NAs and the ability to more easily desorption bound NAs during elution
• the ability to more easily removing of aqueous phase without the risk of capturing small particles of the sorbent, since the sorbent is collected and firmly held on the wall of the tube placed in a magnetic rack
• the ability to easily scale up the isolation experiment with almost linear output, which is impossible with non-magnetic sorbents.
