Magnetic silica coated particles are supplied as an aqueous suspension in ready-to-use form.
We propose two types of silica coated magnetic particles: SileksMagNA and SileksMagNA-G.
These particles are designed for effective isolation in range from long up to short or partly destrusted nucleic acids. Different active surface nanostructure provides relative selectivity of nucleic acids isolation.
SileksMagNA-G particles are designed for isolation of preferably long nucleic acids (from blood, swabs, plants, bacteria etc).
SileksMagNA particles are designed for isolation of singlestranded nucleic acids (mRNA, viral RNA and DNA), partly destructed DNA (from apoptosed cells, from serum and plasma). These particles can be used as "all-purposes" particles.
Note:
Both types of the particles will bind DNA and RNA, i.e. there is no absolute selectivity.
But each kind is designed for better isolation efficiency of its target. To obtain DNA or RNA alone, specific nucleases must be used.
The described specificity is realized only with certain buffer systems. If some custom buffers are used, the particles properties may diviate from optimal. It may cause isolation efficiency decrease. If you do not intend to use our standard buffers for magnetic particles, please contact us first and have a consultation.
